Pictures of sculpts

As requested -- thanks, Iseult! -- I am going to post some pictures of things I sculpted. My digital photography isn't the best, but you can get the idea. First up is Gandalf the Grey. Please excuse the missing hand and staff. I'm still working on getting that right.

Next is an original character Sir Philip the Standard Bearer. He's actually complete and shows a progression of how my sculpting is improving. He has no neck, but the pose, rock, and paint job are aspects I'm proud of.

All pics copyright me, of course. No photographer worth his salt would take credit for these pics. ;)

  1. Wow Lynda, these are really good. I think no neck suits Sir Philip - some people have no neck you know. What did you use to sculpt these? I love them. Thanks for posting.

  2. Hey, thanks for the comments. I really like working on these sculpts. It's fun to watch nothing become something.

I used sculpey, super sculpey, aves apoxie sculpt, some green stuff, foil, and wires. Painted with genesis heat set pains. Whew!

BTW, thanks for being so encouraging to me. You have no idea how I need it. :)

  3. You're very welcome Lynda. Us writers have to look out for each other after all. :)

I'm looking forward to seeing more photos of your sculpts. The face of Gandalf is so detailed, it is amazing.
